LACC's second exclusive blend!

Pronounced “Gree Gree”

Gris Gris was blended and produced at Tabacalera La Isla. Hostos and I worked on a blend for 4 hours on one of my trips to DR, and we came out of that session with a MSA wrapped blend that I was very happy with. On my next trip to DR, I stopped by the factory to have a coffee and smoke with him. He rolled this blend across his desk to me and was telling me how he had a beautiful Sumatra wrapper he just got in. Long story short, I picked his blend over mine. 

Gris Gris is a nod to the practice of Voodoo here in New Orleans. The chicken foot with painted nails is a common voodoo amulet known for providing security and stopping physical threat. The term Gris Gris is specific to New Orleans in the fact that it refers to the "Magic" that Voodoo can provide.
