The Tatuaje Black Label Petit Corona
Who doesn’t love a 50 cab? A strange sense of satisfaction always overcomes a cigar enthusiast in just knowing that he or she has secured a large amount of one of their favorite blends to enjoy for years to come. Enter the “Black Crack”- a nickname given to the Black Label Petit Corona by Tatuaje enthusiasts.
Sitting at an approachable and compact 4 inches x 40 RG, the Black Label Petit Corona is a perfect companion for a shorter smoke session. It is a Nicaraguan Puro, featuring a Sungrown Criollo wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler. While the black label blend is more medium bodied in larger vitolas, I would say the petit Corona is more medium-full in body. The flavors one can expect are typical of the Black Label blend, but a bit more concentrated. Creamy cedar, nougat, cinnamon, espresso, and black pepper are observed throughout the 40 minute smoke time.
A cab of 50 petit coronas can be found for about 4-4.50 dollars per stick. In my opinion, picking up a 50 cab of these is a great value. I have found myself reaching for these quite consistently when needing a reliable clutch performer in crunch time. Plus I have found that the black label blend ages gracefully.
