First Third: At first light up you get the smooth sweetness but surprising spice on the retro with some white pepper. Burn and construction is starting out strong as usual for Definition.
Second Third: Getting into the second third you get hit with nutmeg and that sweetness is still present. This is a great morning smoke with some cold brew. The retrohale on this Connecticut is great, the white pepper and sweetness with the nutmeg hits your sinuses just right and gets balanced out with the cold brew.
Final thoughts: The Definition Noir Connecticut is a very balanced smoke. Perfect for your first smoke of the day in the morning. Doesn’t punch you in the face with strength but definitely comes in smooth with nice flavors. Very nice introductory cigar for someone who is being introduced to the cigar life.
Pairing Section:
From the Whiskey Cabinet: We’re digging in the back of the collection for a nice Scotch. Glenlivet 12 would be perfect to pair. The honey and smoothness with complement each other perfectly.
From the Fridge: This is an early morning smoke , best to be enjoyed with a Cold Brew or Cup of coffee.
Abbina Pairing: sticking with the coffee theme , pull out a Royale for this one. The chocolate and nut notes with make this cigar creamer and pair perfectly.
