The Noir Cameroon by Definition Cigars
Factory of Production: Fabrica de Tabacalera
Country of Origin: Nicaragua
Wrapper: African Cameroon
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua
Body: Very Faint Barnyard
Foot: Closed Foot
Cold Draw: Honey sweetness, very faint due to the closed foot.
First Third: Initial light up starts with subtle almond/cashew note with a creaminess. If you stay away from pepper bombs and want a creamy, smooth smoke, this one is for you. The African Cameroon wrapper gives it that sweet slight spiciness. Construction, draw, and burn are all perfect in the first third.
Second Third: The retrohale begins to change on the second third with a hint of earthiness, and it’s a nice touch with the spice and creaminess. That woody characteristic from the Cameroon wrapper begins to show. Smoke output is phenomenal. This is a cigar you can sit back, relax, and not have to worry about anything because it’s very balanced.
Final thoughts: The Definition Noir Cameroon is a solid pick with its smooth creaminess and subtle hints of earth in the retro with consistent spice notes. The strength is nice the whole way through. Very enjoyable smoking experience. You wont be disappointed with this in your humidor . With a smoke time right at about an hour, you can just kick back , put on some music and enjoy this cigar.
The strength of the Noir Cameroon is a nice medium- comparable to the Equalizer in the Definition line. If you’re looking for power, the Definition Walking Stick which pack the bigger punch is for you.
Pairing Section:
From the Whiskey Cabinet: The Noir Cameroon is a very creamy and smooth Nicaraguan cigar that you don’t want to overpower with your whiskey selection. For this cigar pull out the Hibiki Harmony from the Japanese section of your whiskey collection. Very light and won’t overpower the creaminess and slight spiciness this cigar offers. You can also go with a Jameson Caskmates Stout edition, the creaminess and sweetness will complement this cigar as you kick back and smoke.
From the Fridge: Pull out an ice cold Sprite for this one, so it won’t overpower any of these subtle and smooth notes. Coffee is also a good option for this one, preferably cold brew to complement the creaminess.
Abbina Pairing: The perfect Abbina to pair with the Noir Cameroon has to be the Royale. The cashew/almond notes with the little hints of sweet and spice would pair perfect with this chocolate and coffee Abbina. Both share the creaminess and retros of nuttiness, that you can’t go wrong here.
