The Montecristo Supremos LE 2019

The Montecristo Supremos LE 2019

In the world of Cuban Regionals and Edicion Limitadas, I usually know to keep my expectations tempered. They can really be hit or miss, and the prices are usually high- in the 25-40$ per stick range (Edit: it is now May 2022 and this is laughable, cant even fathom the price now). In my opinion Habanos hit a home run this year with the LEs, but the Montecristo Supremos really are the leader of the pack. It edges out the Ramon Allones no. 2 and is leaps and bounds over the QDO Senadores. Make sure to trust your sources when attempting to acquire these. Montecristo is highly faked- and LEs even more so.

The Supremos is offered in a “Montesco” vitola. The Montesco follows the trend of wider RG and sits at 5 & 1/8 x 55 RG. Habanos is stepping up their box game- It comes in a beautiful yellow 25 count box. The Supremos is medium-full in flavor and body. The classic, deep Montecristo profile of Cocoa, coffee, leather, and Cuban zest are on full display throughout the length of the cigar. While I prefer aged Montecristo (hard to beat!), the Supremos is ready to enjoy fresh, with legs to go the distance.

Due to exclusivity, get your pocketbooks ready. One can expect to pay anywhere from 650-900$ on the secondary market for a box of 25. As I said before, trust your sources and if it’s on sale or to good of a deal to be true- run away!!! A must try!
