DC Pig Perfecto: 4.5" x 60 RG

Factory of Production: Fabrica de Tabacalera

Country of Origin: Nicaragua

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Maduro

Binder: Nicaragua

Filler: Nicaragua

Body: Classic Barnyard

Foot: Barnyard

Cold Draw: Lighter Cold Draw

First Third: Initial light up is very mild and mellow. Burn and construction is solid for it being a pig vitola which is notorious for burn issues but definition is known for quality when it comes its cigars. For having an Ecuadorian Maduro wrapper the DC Pig is more of a medium to lighter smoke so don’t let the dark wrapper deter you if you’re worried about strength.

Second Third: Moving into the second third, it begins to give a light honey graham cracker flavors. Very smooth and mellow throughout! Construction is still perfect! Burn and draw are both great.

Final thoughts: The Definition DC Pig is a medium bodied smoke. This selection doesn’t pack the punch of a Walking Stick or the Defigero from Definition but shares the strength level of the Equalizer but with a more well rounded flavor profile. I would definitely smoke this one again.

Pairing Section:

From the Whiskey Cabinet: The DC Pig is a medium bodied smoke with tasting notes of classic hay and barnyard so your best bet for a whiskey pairing would be Markers Mark 43, a Japanese whiskey like Hibiki Harmony or Toki would complement the Pig.

From the Fridge: Pull out an ice cold Sprite, smooth and crisp lighter flavors will not compete with your smoke or overpower the Pig.

Abbina Pairing: Tower 44 will be your best bet with the grapefruit and refreshment to pair with the Pig. Can’t go wrong with a Tower 44
