Four Kicks Mule Kick LE 025
Robusto Extra: 5 & 7/8" x 52 RG
Factory of Production: Casa Carillo
Country of Origin: Dominican Republic
Wrapper: Connecticut Broadleaf
Binder: Mexican San Andrés
Filler: Nicaragua
Body: Very faint
Foot: Graham cracker
Cold Draw: Granola
First Third: The first light up delivers a smooth “kick” of flavor to the palate. As you draw you get a caramel toffee sweetness but as you retrohale you find the earthiness and leather which complement each other nicely. Definitely more flavor on the palate and retrohale than the original four kicks
Second Third: The earthiness picks up in the second third. Great burn and construction to go with a smooth toffee sweetness and earthy smoke. I’d say the strength level is a mild to medium. At first glance you would expect this cigar to a power house with how dark the wrapper is but that’s what happens with Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. The retro also develops as you smoke with a hit of black pepper that lingers in the sinuses.
Final thoughts: the Mule Kick LE 2025 is a great cigar, start to finish. Between the earthiness , leather , subtle sweetness, and strength the Mule Kick makes for a great combo in a cigar and excellent smoking experience.
Pairing Section:
From the Whiskey Cabinet: Oban Little Bay scotch would be my pick for this cigar! With the subtle smokiness of the scotch and the flavor profile of the Mule Kick you can’t go wrong.
From the Fridge: Mexican Coke with the real sugar always pairs best with a Mexican San Andres. The sweetness and slight bitters of the Coke with the leather , earth, and pepper in the Mule Kick will be a great pairing.
Abbina Pairing Soda: the Mule Kick has Candlewood written all over it. The Cherry/Beet in the Candlewood would be the best Abbina chose for this one .
